This recipe from La Tarta de la Maceta is one of the first ones I published on the blog. Today I am republishing it with updated photos for you to use it in the celebration of this very different Father’s Day, but the original recipe is from August 28, 2012 (I have left it below so you can see how the original was), it has already rained since then!

The first thing is to open the cookies and separate the chocolate cookies from the filling that we will use to whip the cream. Crush the cookies with the help of a food processor or by hand. To do it by hand we put the cookies in a clean freezer bag or zip type and beat them until we get a texture like dirt.

Start assembling the cake by placing a layer of cookies on the bottom: dip a cookie in the bowl with milk and place it on the bottom, then dip another one and place it next to it, and so on until you have a whole layer covered.

Just before presenting it, place a plant, flower or similar. To do this, we will take the stem and wrap it in plastic wrap and thus prevent the stem from releasing liquids that we do not want in our cake. The flower will give it the final look. To serve, divide the portions with the help of a spoon, making sure that a little «earth» falls on all of them.

We continue with the October celebrations, more birthdays and more cakes, in this case one of the cakes that I recently discovered, the Cola Cao cake, really delicious and perfect for a birthday or a snack.

The Cola Cao cake is one of those infallible doughs, it always comes out well, besides, as it has very simple ingredients, there is no excuse not to make it and be surprised with the result. You can also use it as a layer cake or even to cover it with fondant.

You already know how much I love bundt molds, this time I used a mold that Nordic Ware has made together with the chain of stores specializing in kitchens Williams-Sonoma, there are several molds that have been presented in tribute to European cathedrals, they have many details, each one is based on an architectural theme: stained glass, flying buttresses, arches, vaults … They are all impressive, sure you can not decide on one.

Cola Cao se ha comercializado en asociación con los Juegos Olímpicos y otros eventos deportivos[7][6][8].
